My children brought home some unexpected guests...LICE!!!
The boys were scared to shave their heads so I shaved mine first to show them that it is cool.
We pretended that we were joining the military. We were all pretending to be little soldiers. They thought I looked like their favorite soldier Jessie Kenyon!
So there you go Jessie you have a house full of boys that think you are pretty great!
For those of you who may not know Jessie. He helped us at the last Faith Quest Uganda. He had been a Navy Seal... Now he is a soldier in the Lord's army.
It was a little tramatic but Isaac calmed down and let Dad finish his hair up.
Now I look Cool. Dad I'm a soldier!!
We did not cut Kinley's hair but the medicine and lotion really made her cry. That wasn't much fun.
Hey Silas it's your turn.
He actually seemed to enjoy getting his hair cut.
Now this is one cute little guy!
Alex didn't seem to enjoy the trimmers. Ever since the lady in Gresham cut his ear with the electric trimmers he has hated those things.
Here is Daddy with his funny little soldiers!
This has been quite a day for the Cash family. We have been treating everyone with the medicine and washing all of the blankets, pillows and sheets. I do have to admit that it has been kind of fun to bond with the boys this way.
I'll have to make sure that I wear my hat. Thanks for checking in!
God Bless!
Jeff

Hey guys, you really look cool. Now you look like Granddaddy - although that may not be cool to you. There is one difference, and that is that your hair will grow in again.
Love you, Granddad
When I was shaving my head Alex said, "Dad why don't you leave a little hair on the back so you can look cool like granddad!"
Alex thinks you're pretty cool.
We'll take your advice and use a little sunscreen and a hat too.
I enjoyed chatting with you on the phone today as well. We love you, Dad! It's too bad you weren't here to get in the picture. That would have been fun.
OH MY GOODNESS! Trinity and I just laughed so hard. What a great photo of the four of you! Poor Cheryl doesn't look like she is having much fun either. Sorry you guys - at least you all look cute!
Those are the cutest little soldiers I have ever seen! I am so sorry that you are dealing with lice-YUCK! Jeff, you are such a good daddy, shaving your head along with the boys. It probably was the safest thing to do anyway.
What a cute picture! :) Tell all the kids I say hi!
Another great set of pictures! I like the goattee, too! Grace and peace to you all!
Glenn beat me to the comment. You all do look like little Glenn's now!!!
That is the only way to go if you have to treat so many. This will be a great memory, somday in the future, after all the lice is gone!
Our favorite soldier Jesse and Jason Hill are currently helping victims of Katrina pull things together again. You can keep them in your prayers.
Hit me with some info on FQU soon. We need some working end dates for the trip!
What a handsome bunch of boys! We are proud of you for being so brave when you got hour haircuts.
We love you!
All the Walls
THAT is a pretty cool picture! It just shows you that you can find joy in doing even the TOUGHEST of chores! Now..... when talking about "CASH" and "MONEY", "Give me some SKIN" takes on a whole new meaning!
Great Blog!
Okay, I admit that it was very manly of you to sacrifice your hair to be an example for your sweet boys, BUT how come only they look cute?
You are a special Daddy!
Love you, you sheered sheep.
Mom
wow Jeff, looking good! I should donate part of my pony-tail maybe... Houston and Kelly Shearon told us about your and Cheryl's blogs, so I'm checking in to say hi! and that your family looks adorable, even with shaved heads!
Yes, I'm going to add my comment. You boys look like a bunch of peeled onions.:-) When you called Jeff, I was in the drugstore waiting for medicine. I got to laughing and everyone looked at me funny. You are a good dad to "sacrifice for the cause." Glad things are better.
Papa/Lynn
Whoa Jeff! You look good bald with a gotee. I was stoked to see you got the vehicle--overjoyed for you guys actually. Wear the tires off of that thing while you have it!
I miss you guys big time--still waaayyy bummed that things didn't work out to visit you in Uganda. I'm praying for that day to come!
We had nearly 100 people show up at "New Life" who were not connected at a local church (40 of whom were unchurched). God is so good--and the fields are white!
I'm praying for you tonight as you begin your new day. (ben@newlifeodessa.org)
Love you bro, Ben Wall
It looks like you have a nice blog. CHECK OUT my site at kehnsJAM!
Amberdusk gave us your blog.
Thanks for your ministry in Uganda. We will be joining God's work in Mbarara by February 2006. MUKAMA ASIIMWE! (Rukiga)
Matt and Crystal Kehn <><
jeff, that is awesome! not the lice, the BALD. my husband WISHES he'd go bald, but it just makes him look mean when he shaves his head. go on you!
Hey Guys!
I just got set up to post. I had to send a note. You guys look great. Hope everything clears up soon.
Love Ya,
Mike
Hey Kristi,
I'm glad that you and Trinity got a good laugh out of it. Everyone here loves the look. That is the local thing to do to look nice ... get your head shaved. It's pretty cheap to do as well.
We miss you.
Aimee Jo!
I heard today that the Chedesters all got lice as well.
Fun fun
We were curious how your visit to the church in Kaizer went. We were praying for you. Last Sunday Ronald led the church in a special prayer for your guys. Everybody misses you. Take care.
Hey Greg G.
I just wanted to thank you for all of your encouragement. You've been a great help to us and we appreciate all that you do as our contact guy at Glenwood. Thanks!
Lori Ann,
So you think we look like little Glenns. Hmmm? I don't quite know what to say...
The boys were so funny when they all started playing soldier. Alex said, "Now that our heads are shaved we can be real soldiers...soldiers for the Lord!"
They were really cute.
Hey Lynn and Sherilyn,
You can sure be proud of your grandkids. They were real troopers. It's a day that we won't forget.
Tonight I made a campfire in the backyard for the kids while Cheryl took a nap. She wasn't feeling too good. The boys made guns out of legos and chased each other all over the yard. Silas is the one you have to watch out for. He has no trouble jumping right in a tackling his brothers. He's funny. We have gate on the porch and he likes to climb to the top and swing his leg over and wave to me. What a kid.
Lynda,
We didn't do too many girl things in this house. We shaved our heads and played commando. I think Kinley may have enjoyed the pampering but she does well to get in there with the boys. I guess she has to with three brothers!
Hey Ike,
We have had several meetings and have gotten quite a bit done on Faith Quest. We can't wait for you guys to come. It is going to be great. Thanks for calling the other night. This is going to be a really good year! Thanks for your work.
